Biblical Discipleship

Biblical Discipleship (personal) is the transfornation  in the life of some one becoming more Christlike. Disciple Making  is one person intentionally encouraging/teaching one to become more Christlike.

2Ti 2:1- 3 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. [2] And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.[3]Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Both personal discipleship and the disciplining of others is hard work with the discipline and focus of a soldier.

The Pilgrim-Institute website is about Biblical Discipleship, both personal discipleship and the disciplining of others. We have two Internet schools they have a element of both, but  both these schools are aimed more toward preparing one to disciple others. These schools are:

http://Biblestudy.foursoilsministry.org  – a 2 year Associate Degree – certificate program
http://www.wicketgatebiblecollege.com       – a 2 year Biblical Studies Degree

We are developing a personal discipleship program called “Our Pilgrimage” modeled after John Bunyan’s book “The Pilgrim Progress”, the Exodus Story (wilderness experience) of Israel and the progressive revelation of God’s Word from the book of Romans.

Our Pilgrimage is a 12 lesson study with each lesson in three parts. First read the Lesson 1 material, then any required outside reading, and then answer the questions for the lesson. Start with lesson 1 on the right.
